Senior pastor

Bro. Steve Holland is a Native of Oklahoma City. He grew up with a love for sports and family. He accepted Christ as his Savior in the summer of 1982 while attending Falls Creek. While playing college football Bro. Steve was called by God to the Ministry in his freshman year. He transferred to Oklahoma Baptist University where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Departmental Religion. While attending OBU Bro. Steve met his wife Dena and they were married in 1991. Bro. Steve and Dena have 2 children, Taylor and Calem. As a family they really enjoy spending time together; going to concerts, sporting events, cooking, and playing sports.

Bro. Steve has been a Pastor since 1991. He was called to FBC Vinita in 2010 and is excited to be the Lead Pastor of this great church.

Tyler Shafer

Student Minister

Tyler Shafer was born and raised in and around Kansas City. Tyler along with his love of Barbaque and all things geeky is excited to be coming to Vinita to serve at one of the most loving and happy churches he has attended.

Tyler loves to have fun in all things. Growing up with an older brother and younger sister has made him super competitive and he loves a good challenge.

After high school, Tyler went to Missouri Western State University in St. Joesph MO. where he got his first degree in Business Leadership. Afterward he went on to get his Master of Arts in Christian Education, from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Tyler has worked with Students for over 10 years and loves to help them answer their questions about God, life, and the Bible.

Church Office Manager

Kristal started working at FBC Vinita in January of 2005.  She is married and has 2 boys, Lance and Matthew.  She was saved and baptized during a revival, at the First Church of God in Vinita, at the age of 13.  In 2005, when she came to work at FBC, she joined the church and rededicated her life to Christ.
